Foley & Lardner LLP has an excellent opportunity for a skilled Paralegal to join our Estate Planning practice group. This individual will provide direct assistance for our clients and attorneys with all aspects of estate and trust administration. The ideal candidate will work independently and as part of a team, with the ability to manage multiple timelines with minimum supervision, and will need to possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare estate and gift tax returns
  • Prepare estate planning and probate documents
  • File probate pleadings with the court
  • Prepare/revise trust documents
  • Prepare financial statements, accountings, schedules, and Excel financial analyses
  • Assist attorneys with estate and trust administrations and client accounts
  • Communicate with and request documentation from financial institutions as needed
  • Maintain beneficiary information
  • Schedule distributions, process gifts and receipt of new trust assets
  • Attend client meetings on occasion and maintain frequent client contact for administration matters
  • Consistently achieve 1650 billable hour requirement (including approved non-billable time)

Qualifications

  • High School or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or paralegal certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of estate and trust administration experience required
  • Excel knowledge and experience with estate and tax software a plus
  • Must have prior experience billing time #LI-Hybrid

In support of transparency and equity in the workplace, Foley provides salary ranges for all positions. The figures below represent the full compensation range of this position. The actual offered amount will be between the range minimum and midpoint based on the following factors: education, experience, geographic market, and internal pay equity at Foley.

Tampa: $75,200 - $105,300
