Foley & Lardner LLP is currently seeking a Litigation Docket Analyst to provide support from our California offices. The Analyst will calendar assignments that relate to all courts (nationally) and other agencies. This right candidate will also maintain and update all related databases. The Analyst will communicate with attorneys and the docketing team regarding proper calendaring procedures with courts and administrative agencies. 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the firm’s Litigation Docket in an up-to-date manner to ensure that case events and/or filing deadlines are not overlooked
  • Coordinate and participate in the distribution of daily and weekly individual dockets to attorneys, paraprofessionals and/or assistants
  • Travel to court and related administrative agencies to process court filings and deliver courtesy copies as necessary
  • Communicate with attorneys and staff with respect to judge assignment changes and court closings
  • Communicate changes in court procedures including changes to fees to attorneys and staff and coordinate with assistants in order to obtain disbursement checks for any court-related filing fees
  • Track critical dates and related details and communicate information with attorneys, paralegals and/or staff, as necessary
  • Communicate and assist litigation staff with questions relating to internal docketing procedures and policies
  • Perform docketing responsibilities, using rules based calendaring software and other tools as necessary
  • Search cases using the software and internet resources as necessary
  • Train and develop docketing team members
  • Work closely with docketing manager on departmental procedures
  • Perform any other project that is deemed to be docket related

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred 
  • Minimum of three (3) years prior experience in docketing required; Five (5) years of docketing experience preferred
  • Familiarity with CompuLaw or other docketing software required  #LI-Hybrid

In support of transparency and equity in the workplace, Foley provides salary ranges for all positions. The figures below represent the full compensation range of this position. The actual offered amount will be between the range minimum and midpoint based on the following factors: education, experience, geographic market, and internal pay equity at Foley.
San Diego - $75,100 to $105,200
Los Angeles - $78,500 to $109,900

San Francisco - $85,400 to $119,500
