Foley & Lardner LLP is looking for a motivated and independent strategic sourcing professional to fill the role of Procurement Senior Specialist. This successful candidate will engage with firm management to identify strategic sourcing opportunities and execute on those opportunities. This Senior Specialist will not focus on a specific spend category, but instead will be responsible for strategic opportunities in multiple spend categories.  

Responsibilities

  • Develop RFx documents, evaluate vendor proposals (scope, cost, timing, resource modeling, risk, etc.), make vendor recommendations, and vet vendor qualifications in collaboration with business units to ensure project success
  • Negotiate complex agreements and statements of work; such as Professional Services Agreements, Software License Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Independent Contractor Agreements and Marketing Venue Agreements
  • Engage and collaborate with the General Counsel’s office and IT Security to ensure compliance required to protect the company
  • Assist in the development and execution of cost saving strategies to support firm goals and departmental commitments
  • Assist with establishment of tools and processes to promote contract lifecycle management and procurement best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain or equivalent required; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of demonstrated performance in indirect procurement and contract management required
  • Strong negotiation skills specifically in the area of cost, quality, and timing with vendors
  • Excellent prioritization and project management skills
  • Professional, clear, and effective communication to a variety of stakeholders via various communication mediums (written and/or verbal)
  • Ability to lead through indirect influence
  • Build and maintain strong relationships based on trust, credibility, clear expectations and open communication
  • Experience interacting with senior management preferred
  • Experience in multiple spend categories preferred  #LI-Hybrid

 

Pursuant to the Illinois Equity Pay Act the salary range for this Chicago based position is between $99,300 - $161,900.  Pursuant to the Washington DC Pay Transparency Law, the salary range for this Washington DC based position is between $108,200 - $176,600.  These figures represent the full compensation range of this position. The actual offered amount will be determined based on the following factors: education, experience, geographic market, and internal pay equity at Foley.
