Foley & Lardner LLP is currently seeking a Treasury Senior Manager to join our Accounting & Finance team! The Senior Manager will manage cash related functions for the firm including cash application and trust activity, short-term investing and borrowing, wire payments, cash reporting and forecasting, bank account maintenance, and bank relationship management.  A successful candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, be detail orientated, be able to lead and motivate a team, and possess a collaborative approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for proactive daily cash management, which includes forecasting the firm’s cash position, and related investing and borrowing needs. 
  • Manage day-to-day cash movements, bank account openings/closings and account reconciliations.
  • Oversee the Treasury team, including those responsible for accurately and timely applying client payments.
  • Ensure trust transactions are in compliance with state bar rules.
  • Maintain relationships across the banking community including corporate bankers, bank operational counterparts as well as treasury infrastructure and technology providers.
  • Has accountability for the performance and results of the team. Provide leadership support to staff to achieve department goals through effective coaching, mentoring and career development.
  • Collaborate on processes and procedures with other departments and lead process improvement initiatives.  Participate and direct special projects related to process implementation, automation, and reporting as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of treasury operations experience required
  • Prior experience managing a team of direct reports required
  • Law firm or professional services firm experience required #LI-Hybrid

Pursuant to the Illinois Equity Pay Act the salary range for this Chicago based position is between $131,300 - $214,300.  These figures represent the full compensation range of this position. The actual offered amount will be determined based on the following factors: education, experience, geographic market, and internal pay equity at Foley.
