Foley & Lardner LLP has an excellent opportunity for a skilled Paralegal to join our Estate Planning practice group. This individual will provide direct assistance to our clients and attorneys with all aspects of estate and trust administration. The ideal candidate will work independently and as part of a team, with the ability to manage multiple timelines with minimum supervision, and will need to possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare estate planning and probate documents
  • Prepare financial statements, accountings, schedules, and Excel financial analyses
  • Assist attorneys with estate and trust administrations and client accounts
  • Maintain beneficiary information
  • Schedule distributions
  • Process gifts and the receipt of new trust assets
  • Assist with preparation of tax returns (e.g., Forms 706, 709, and 1041)
  • Attend client meetings and maintain frequent client contact for administration matters

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of estate and trust administration experience required
  • Excel knowledge and experience with estate and tax software a plus #LI-Hybrid
