Overview

Foley & Lardner is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cash Applications Analyst with expertise in accounts receivable and treasury functions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Payment Processing: Receive and process incoming payments from customers, clients, or partners through various channels such as checks, electronic transfers, credit cards, and ACH (Automated Clearing House) payments
  • Unidentified Receipts Resolution: Conduct thorough research and investigation to resolve unidentified receipts, promptly reconciling payments with appropriate customer accounts
  • Communication: Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and collectors to provide timely and clear communication regarding payment clarifications and resolution of payment-related queries
  • Client Trust Activity: Record and accurately process client trust account activity, adhering to relevant regulations and internal procedures
  • Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of cash application transactions, identifying discrepancies and proactively resolving any issues
  • Data Analysis: Analyze cash application data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and streamline operations
  • Process Enhancement: Continuously review and improve cash application procedures to optimize efficiency and accuracy
  • Reporting: Generate and present periodic reports on cash application performance and outstanding accounts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, or accounting required
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an office environment preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel required
  • Experience with ERP and Accounting Software preferred 
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities required
