Overview

The Lateral Partner Recruiting Specialist will work closely with the firm’s Director of Legal Recruiting and Lateral Partner Recruiting Manager to execute Foley’s strategic lateral partner recruiting initiatives. The Lateral Partner Recruiting Specialist will coordinate all aspects of the lateral partner recruiting process for the firm’s 25 offices. The Lateral Recruiting Specialist interfaces regularly with partners, search firms, candidates, and business professionals, and is a proactive representative of the firm. 

Responsibilities

  • Review resumes and/or profiles, business plans, and related candidate submissions; present materials to firm leaders; coordinate internal follow-up on each submission and communicate regarding same with candidates and/or search firms.
  • Oversee lateral partner candidate interview process, including scheduling candidate interviews and collecting feedback following interviews.
  • Coordinate with others across the firm to advance candidates through the recruiting process as it relates to potential conflicts, due diligence, financial modeling, and more.
  • Work with the Diversity & Inclusion team and Lateral Partner Recruiting Manager to execute strategies focused on recruiting diverse lateral partner candidates to the firm.
  • Prepare appropriate correspondence related to a candidate’s status and maintain accurate records.
  • Manage the maintenance of the applicant tracking systems.
  • Manage administrative processes related to the development and production of recruiting materials.
  • Utilize the firm’s competitive intelligence resources to research prospective candidates and groups.
  • Maintain and update recruitment content on the firm’s LinkedIn page, Careers blog, external website, email marketing platforms, and other related recruiting materials.
  • Provide necessary metrics, reports, and firm-wide project outcomes as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of recruiting, human resources, talent development, legal practice, or project management experience.
  • Large law firm, search firm, or professional service firm experience strongly preferred.  Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience with lateral attorney recruitment in a large law firm setting.
  • Must have proficiency with MS Word, Excel, electronic presentations (PowerPoint or equivalent) and viRecruit (or equivalent), as well as familiarity with general database management.
