The Legal Recruiting Specialist will have oversight and responsibility for law student and entry-level recruiting efforts and summer associate programs for the firm’s Boston, New York, and Washington, DC offices. The Legal Recruiting Specialist will interface regularly with partners, associates, law school representatives and candidates, and be a proactive representative of the firm.  A successful candidate will have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, time management and organizational skills; the ability to exercise sound judgment and professionalism; demonstrated ability to prioritize workload to manage multiple responsibilities; the ability to turn concepts and visions into actions; and demonstrated experience working both independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.



  • Facilitate on-campus interviewing and job fairs.
  • Coordinate and schedule callback interviews.
  • Plan and oversee all aspects of the summer associate program.
  • Attend social events as needed.
  • Act as the main point of contact for their assigned offices’ summer associates, law student recruits, and entry-level associates.
  • Develop and leverage relationships with law school career services’ departments, identify/organize/execute outreach events to enhance the firm’s brand at target law schools.
  • Monitor the law student recruiting and summer program budget for their assigned offices.
  • Assist in the administrative processes related to hiring such as preparing offer letters and maintaining accurate candidate files in the applicant tracking system.
  • Provide support to the Recruiting Committee in the assigned offices as well as collaborate with other members of the firm’s Legal Recruiting Department.
  • Identify areas for process improvements to better achieve recruiting objectives.


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • A minimum of three (3) years of recruiting experience required; prior recruiting experience in legal or professional services preferred 
  • Must have proficiency with MS Word, Excel, electronic presentations (PowerPoint or equivalent) and viRecruit (or equivalent applicant tracking system), as well as familiarity with general database management
  • Must be able to work occasional extended hours during busy periods and travel as needed
